We are committed to providing a safe, comfortable environment where patients and staff can be confident that best practice is always followed, and the safety of patients and staff is of paramount importance.
All patients are entitled to have a chaperone present for any consultation, examination or procedure where they feel one is required. The practice has trained members of staff who would act as formal chaperones. Clinicians can also request a formal chaperone if they feel it necessary in accordance with our Chaperone Policy.
Wherever possible we would ask patients to make a request for a chaperone at the time of booking an appointment, this is to ensure that appropriate arrangements can be made, and your appointment is not delayed in any way. If we are unable to provide a formal chaperone for your appointment, it may be necessary to reschedule your appointment.
